38 Week Doctor Appointment

Today was our 38 week appointment with Dr. Pilvesky and when she walked into the room she says, "How are you feeling?"
I replied, "Ready to have this baby!"
She responds enthusiastically, "Do you want to induce next week?  Lets see how the cervix is doing." 

Well, my cervix was not cooperating and needless to say there will be no induction next week!  Oh well one could only hope!  So we well see what the next few weeks bring!

We did have a sonogram today and she is measuring about 7 pounds and everything looks great!  Here are the last sonogram pictures.   The first is a profile picture, the second and third are shots of her face straight on.  She was pretty soundly sleeping during the sonogram and had this adorable pout on her face! We were all laughing pretty hard! 

 

 

We look forward to her next pictures, which will be real life, more visible images!

13 Days until Halloween!

We are now about 2 weeks away from the due date!  Tuesday's doctor's appointment revealed nothing of importance to report.  The doctor we met with was not a doctor in our practice and was filling in to help out.  We did discuss the issue of the two vessel umbilical cord and she made a comment that the doctors may not want me to go too far after 40 weeks, however she would not commit to that statement because she was not a doctor in our office. 

Again this week we have an appointment on Tuesday.  The good news is that it is a sonogram and a doctor visit.  We should have an approximate weight and measure.  In her other sonograms the baby was measuring about 4 to 5  days ahead of growth.  I think we are both hoping for more news than we had last week. 

So the waiting game continues...

20 Days until Due Date!

We are about 20 days away from Baby Girl Puryear's due date, October 31, 2009!  We have been working extremely hard on the house and putting the finishing touches on her room.  I think we are mostly done with the room and the house is spotless...for now!  We have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, which we hope to learn more information about possible time frame!  Who knows though!
